About GIPL

In 2003, Rev. Woody Bartlett and Carol Bartlett began Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL). Today, GIPL is a growing organization with over 500 partner congregations across the state of Georgia.

Our Mission

Georgia Interfaith Power & Light engages communities of faith in stewardship of Creation.

Our Faith Principles

Stewardship - Responsible use of God's Creation.

Justice - Working to ensure fair usage and distribution of natural resources.

Community of Life - Understanding our role in the interdependent ecosystem.

Awe - Recognizing the fingerprints of the divine in the created works.

Our Work

Since 2003, we have equipped congregations to care for creation through worshipeducation, and the stewardship of our natural resources. Our Power Wise Energy Audits help our members save precious energy and money through energy efficiency.

To learn how you can promote creation care in your congregation, check out our worship resources and study guides. Or, contact us for more information.
