Active Hope: Our Watersheds/Our Lives
August 26 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Facilitated by Beth Remmes, GIPL Education Committee, in cooperation with Clear River Chorus.
Based on the work of Joanna Macy, this participatory workshop on Active Hope addresses the environmental & social problems that we are facing. In this workshop we will be attending particularly to the gifts & challenges of our local watersheds. It is based on over four decades of community work with thousands of people around the world. We will explore gratitude, anger, grief, and hope and move into a deeper understanding of how to create our best collective future. We will end the workshop with exercises to help us support one another as we go forth and work towards a more sustainable, just, and peaceful world where all beings can thrive.
Light refreshments will be provided. There is no cost for the program, but donations will be accepted for the Four Directions Fund for future environmental programs. Registration limited to 35. Please RSVP to email@example.com.
