Reclaiming Our Indigenous Power: Why Our Indigeneity Counts

July 5 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join GIPL congregation, The Collegiate Church of St. Paul the Apostle for a dialogue of Recognition, Reckoning, and Reconsideration about Our Environment and Ourselves.

As a follow-up to the recent Traces of the Trade screening and dialogue, this program also engages connections between slave enterprise and ‘prime concern’ issues outlined in Savannah’s Integrity Threat assessment. A participatory musical jam commemorating historic locally produced culture will be featured.
Drumfolk Shout and Music Society! (a new ensemble dedicated to crucial Gullah-Geechee Corridor protest expression: the sounds of Escape, Rebellion and Freedom) will provide instruments and content.
