Georgia Interfaith Power & Light Energy Improvement Grant - Now Available!

With generous support from the Kendeda Foundation, Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL) is pleased to offer an Energy Improvement Grant Program through which congregations can apply for financial assistance to make improvements to their facilities that will lower their dependence on polluting forms of energy. The program is designed to help congregations institute changes that would otherwise be cost-prohibitive, while at the same time involving them in further efforts to implement environmental stewardship programs.

Matching grants are available for up to $25,000 to fund energy efficiency improvements and other projects.

If your congregation has had an energy audit and/or you have identified energy efficiency projects that you would like to do in your facilities, here's your chance to get funding to make those improvements. Funds can be used for projects ranging from replacing light bulbs to getting that super-efficient HVAC unit installed.

Applications for the next round of grants are due May 15, 2008!
