GIPL in the News!
We aren't the only ones talking about Georgia Interfaith Power & Light! GIPL has been featured in several online and print articles recently.
* The Atlanta Intown Paper did a story on GIPL for their May 2007 issue entitled Congregations Go Green (see page 10 in the online issue).
* The Atlanta Journal and Constution had an article entitled Religions See Care of Earth as Mission which featured GIPL and several GIPL members.
* GIPL was featured in Creative Loafing's April 11 cover story Eco-Days are Here Again.
* GIPL was featured in Georgia Trend's article on Alternative Energy in Georgia.
* GIPL Director Katy Hinman was interviewed for an article in Nature about alternative careers for folks with science degrees.
* GIPL and the Spotlight on Global Warming are featured in two video clips on weather.com's new climate change website. Link directly to the clips here and here.
* The Sunday New York Times from October 16 had an article on faith communities working to be better stewards of the environment, which featured Georgia's own Intown Community Church and our partner IPL in Michigan.
* Katy Hinman was interviewed for an online article on Plenty Magazine's website about the Spotlight project.
* The Atlanta Journal and Constitution's Faith and Values section previewed the Spotlight on Global Warming project on September 23 and again on September 30.

* The cover article from the December 7, 2005 edition of The Atlanta Jewish Times, "How Green is My Shul?" prominently featured GIPL member Congregation Bet Haverim, as well as highlighting GIPL’s efforts within the faith community.
* The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany and Congregation Bet Haverim were both profiled in "An Act of Faith" on the New Southerner website.
* Congregation Bet Haverim was also featured in "Stemming the Tide" in The Forward.
